Our roots
Picifix.com was founded by experienced social healthcare innovator Sjaak Vink, amongst others also co-founder of myTomorrows, together with James Heywood, scientist, big-data expert and co-founder of Patients Like Me; Bernard Muller, founder of Project MinE and Treeway and Katrin Schepp, Attorney-at-Law. All of them are intrinsically motivated to improve the health system for patients: Sjaak lost friends to cancer and ALS, James lost his brother to ALS, Bernard is an ALS patient himself and Katrin lost her father to cancer.

Global medicine access systems are fragmented and contain significant barriers that can delay and restrict access to medicines for years. These barriers are driven by local variations in regulations, manufacturer choices, approval agencies, local health authorities and reimbursement systems. Collectively, this results in disparities in the access to new potentially life improving or life saving medicines that can have significant consequences for patients that might benefit from them.
Our mission is to enable patients with their physicians to overcome these barriers and get appropriate and efficient access to the most effective medicines for the personalized treatment of disease.
